06/28/2023 at 9:00 PM (EDT)  |  Recorded On: 06/28/2023 Periprosthetic distal femur fractures are increasing at an alarmingly high rate as the world ages with an increase in the number of total knee arthroplasty procedures coupled with increasing life expectancy. With the advent of current 4th generation intramedullary nailing, variable angle distal femur plates, dual construct implants, and minimal resection endoprosthesis; the surgeon is presented with a myriad of treatment options which can be overwhelming. In this webinar, the faculty and moderator will provide evidence-based data along with case presentations to delineate benefits, indications, and perils of the various treatment options. The presentation will conclude with the utility, and peril of endoprosthesis from the perspective of a combined arthroplasty and trauma fellowship trained moderator given the newer generation implants and novel surgical techniques.
