Statement of Need/Description/or Summary of Gap Analysis

Treatments for moderate/severe OI have revolutionized since the 1990's.  Since the advent of more advanced medical and surgical treatments, more people with moderate/severe OI are living long lives.  Many have pediatric implants.  From numerous patient surveys and direct patient communication, the OI community feels that there is a gap in knowledge of treating adults with OI that need orthopedic surgery.  This webinar will introduce the scope of the problem, teach traumatologists the most common pediatric implants they may encounter, and offer real world principles if seeing such a patient in his/her practice.
