Statement of Need/Description/or Summary of Gap Analysis

Postoperative wound infections are costly complications associated with any and all orthopedic surgical procedures.  This webinar will divide infection control into the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care period.  The webinar will be lecture based reviewing why we do certain things, what are the current practices/novelties, and where are we headed.  After the lecture the moderator and faculty will provide case examples that emphasize the key points discussed during the lecture.  The faculty will provide a chronological approach with tip and tricks they utilize to prevent wound infections and infection management in the worst case scenarios.  This will fill knowledge gaps on infection control from explaining principles/advents of past, present, and future.
