  2. Attendee will be able to appreciate the myths and inaccuracies of what Orthopaedic Trauma entails
  3. Attendee will be able to list specific struggles women face in achieving their goals as Orthopaedic trauma surgeons
  4. Attendee will be able to list at least three initiatives the OTA has undertaken to improve diversity

Method of Participation: There are no fees for members to participate in this activity. Non-members must pay $40. To participate in the activity, physicians will be required to take the following steps:

  • Read the learning objectives and faculty disclosures.
  • Participate in the activity.
  • Complete the activity evaluation.
  • Participants who successfully complete the evaluation will receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

This webinar aims to discuss Women in Orthopaedic Trauma in an effort to inform and motivate residents and medical students to consider Orthopaedic Trauma as a career or to be an ally. It will be 4 brief lectures followed by panel discussion. Lectures will be topics such as “Why I chose Orthopaedic Trauma”, “Challenges and Triumphs as a Woman in Orthopaedic Trauma” and “Practice Types and Lifestyle”.
